Till We Have Faces
I was thinking of having our "Till We Have Faces" discussion on here, (though I am not the expert on online discussion, maybe TA alums can help out with how this is best done). We should wait until Greg returns from China, but I thought I'd get some things moving so we actually get it done and not just talk about it (speaking of that, what about my Christmas present, dance lessons? the next "season" or whatever of classes is probably upon us).
Anyway, let's shoot for discussing it when Greg returns, if there's anyone who still wants to read it, get started, and those who have read it, put some thoughts together on what you think would be good to discuss.

yay, way to take the initiative karissa! I was just thinking about this and realizing we should start getting on the ball with it. . . and then I was feeling lazy and did nothing as usual. ;)
I figure we can do it in at least one of two ways. I was thinking doing a live chat discussion; we could either use AIM or bubbs chatroom. This makes conversation a heck of a lot easier, especially if we're just bouncing ideas around. The disadvantage would be we have to find a day/time that works for all of us. (The other possible disadvantage would be using up all our bubbs time if we use it instead of AIM or something similar.)
The other way, of course, would be using either this blog or our bubbs folder. The advantage would be not having to schedule anything and getting to think through responses a little longer before posting them. The disadvantage would be that it takes a lot longer to get anywhere.
As I was reading I wrote down a list of many questions I have, most of which (I think) would make good discussion questions, so if we need conversation starters I can break those out, but I'd really like to hear all your thoughts on the book too.
I have a name on AIM, but haven't got the sign-in thingy on this computer, only my brothers ancient lap-top. So if we want to do the live chat there I'd need advice on how to set it up, or we can use Greg's family web-site chat room thing.
Well if we want to use AIM, it's an easy download, or you can use AIM Express (aim.com and click "use aim express") which saves you the download. But greg's family chatroom is another great idea!
I got Till We Have Faces for my birthday. I haven't read it yet, but if I think I can find time then I would love to participate.
